Artist's Comments

Can you tell I'm still not completely comfortable with color? 'Tis a VI-commision for Shade Darkblade that's a little past-due. Oh vell, Que sera sera.

Though I do like his pants, even if the rest of the coloring's a little... off. (I love his rainbow Shinobi-style scarf, too, even if I was paying more attention to the InuYasha episode that was on, and made the floral print all wonky. ^.^;; )

Prang and Portfolio colored pencils and Ebony pencil on medium sketch paper. Shade's © his player (in all of his bishi-ess). Art's © me.

Quite beautiful, Tibs! I love your style and the black and white behind the color.

Erm... withdrawl symptoms? They'll make a good scapegoat.

Honestly, I dunno. I just felt like drawing something floral. It was originally going to be shades of blue, but somehow my palette took over.

I was just about to comment on how bootiful the colours looked when I noticed your remark about not being comfortable with colour. You should be - it looks really awesome. ^.^

Thankee! I was nervous that those evil pencils were conspiring against me. ^.^

Wow...seeing that made me realize how little color you do...
You should more often, the b&w background certainly has an interesting relationship with the splotched of bright color. A little cluttered, but striking anyway.
